Afghanistan Faces Food Shortages in Wake of Drought, Conflict
Eighty percent of rural families in Afghanistan have less than a month's supply of food. The global food crisis and the pressures of conflict conspired to drive up food prices 167 percent in the last year, leaving 450,000 households without money to buy food. ActionAid is on the ground, providing emergency food and water to communities while pushing for changes that will put an end to hunger for good.
