I am signing this petition to show my support of the people of Kenya as they move toward a peaceful resolution to the political strife of the past year.

I believe our government must protect and preserve our basic human rights. I believe that we, as citizens, must demand that our governments support and defend these rights. I stand in support of activists in Kenya as they reclaim their rights.

I commit to share information with others about what is happening Kenya and to advocate for sound, progressive policies in my own country. Above all else, I stand in support of Kenyans who are committed to do the same.

To fellow activists in Kenya, I stand in solidarity with you and am committed to making the most out of our shared renewed sense of hope in 2009.
