ActionAid donates sewing machines to graduates at Breman Asikuma

ActionAid International, a non-governmental organization (NGO), based in United States, has presented sewing machine each to seven graduates of Christian Vocational Center, at Breman Asikuma in the Central Region.
Mr. Gary Heath, president of the NGO, who presented the machines, urged the grandates to expand their work for the benefit of the community.
Mr. Emmanuel Adjei Domson, District Executive for the area, in an address read on his behalf commended the NGO for the gesture.
He said education was key to development and appealed to the people to send their children to school so that they could become useful citizens.
Mr. Domson advised the grandates not to abandon their profession to make the investment made in their training a waste.
He said since government acknowledges the importance of the private sector in national development it would continue to support the Center for Rural Enterprise Development.
Madam Comfort Mends, Managing Director of the Institute expressed gratitude to the NGO for the assistance and urged other organisations to support the training centre.
She said the graduands under took 24 months training in sewing as well as Tie and Dye.
