Keep it Up Secretary of State Clinton!
During International Women’s Day, I wanted to thank you for your work on behalf of women across the world and for your record on women’s rights issues. In your position as Secretary of State, you have the opportunity to take a bold new step forward. Initial actions taken by you and the Obama administration, on PEPFAR and the Global Gag Rule, show promising signs of positive movement for women and development issues – keep it up! Amidst the financial crisis and decisions regarding foreign assistance, I ask that you keep women and development issues a top priority.
