ActionAid International USA offers other exciting benefits. Please note that these benefits are applicable to positions in the United States only, and will not necessarily apply to overseas positions or those advertised by other ActionAid affiliates.
Pension Plan
AA pension plan is designed to help you build a strong financial base for retirement and reduce your taxes. Our savings plan includes a generous two‐percent company contribution that starts after six months of service.
Paid Time Off
0 – 2 Year of employment AA offers 24 days of vacation per year
5 – + Year of employment AA offers 36 days of vacation per year
AA offers 12 sick days a year.
Professional Development Program
AA offers this benefit to staff that have been with the organization for at least six months. If your classes support present or planned job responsibilities, you may qualify for reimbursement costs (tuition and books).
Parental Leave
Recognizing the needs of new parents, AA offers staff (male and female) with at least 12 consecutive months and 1250 hours of employment 12 weeks paid leave, following the birth or adoption of a child. Male staff are entitle to 10 days paternity leave. This is in addition to paid medical leave (6-8 weeks) offered to female employees who deliver children.
Employee Assistance Program
AA company‐paid employee assistance program provides a confidential 24‐hour hotline to call (for marital, family, emotional, alcohol, drug or other concerns) for you or any family member.
Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance/ Life insurance
AA offers this comprehensive PPO benefit for individual and family coverage employees the first day of employment. There is not charge to employees for our current Insurance Plan.
Paid Holidays
AA offers 10 paid holidays per year and two personal days to use at the employee discretion.
