In 2021, Haiti was hit with dual crises: heavy rains that caused widespread flooding in April and a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Both of these crises devastated Haitian cities and caused countless casualties. As if this weren’t enough, Haitians were also confronted with the imminent threat of tropical storm Grace.
Together with local partners, we coordinated psychosocial support for traumatized women and children, provided disaster relief, such as water filters, cleaning tools, handwashing stations, and delivered cash support for women to recover their economic activities and support their families.
